Doug’s photo gives me the distinctive feeling of being not only the viewer but being there in that very spot.
I enjoy the detail and charmed by the camels and men in the foreground. All together this makes a lovely composition, interesting in the subject matter that being the detail of the architecture and it’s quite relaxing to view.
I failed to mention one more important thing. That being why the image his so pleasing. Doug shot the image including the entire front facade of stone. Then, not only are the camels and men charming as stated prior, by comparing them in size to the subject matter I can get the total immediate sense of the enormity of the stone wall.
