  1. Why does this raise images of the Holocaust? It had to have started somewhere before growing to the atrocity it became.
    As far as I know, it would not be expected for a child to say, “Sorry folks, but I am not going with you to America in the hope of finding freedom from fear and violence.” Absolutely terrifying and so very embarrassing. This is not who we have believed ourselves to be.
