Oh, I am feeling brave! It will be so wonderful if I’m doing this right and get comments in return. Could we really have a conversation? I hope so.
But I’m not giving you much to work with, except for a chance to test whether commenting is easy.
I think I’ll stop playing with this now and get back to the short story I’m preparing to enter in a contest with the help of my granddaughter – an amazing editor! I have to get this new career going, ’cause my client traffic is down to almost nothing. Wouldn’t it be nice if people noticed the books I’ve already written?
I think there’s a way that you can just check that you are a follower. Then maybe I don’t have to send out hand e-mailed invitations every time I blog. Now that would be worth a smile!
Easy as pie. If I can do it. . . . Pretty picture. Legible (light on dark being better for “old” eyes). Is the return mail font large enough to give you the chance to read every vital word of the responses you get?
Hi Mona,
I found this difficult to read with the white lettering on dark blue background. Just my opinion!

Hi Mona, no poblem leaving a comment. I’m glad you’ve made the switch to wordpress. It take time to get used to it, but once you get it, it’s a snap.

Hello Mona, It’s a pretty site. Blue is my favorite color, but I do have problems reading on screen. I admire you for starting a new. I do not have the power to do so, it seems. I’m totally burned out with Google. Sad that I seldom or never get comments. My blog is focused on promoting the poems of southern and Appalachian poets who have few forums for their work. I have a great one on now – Poet of the month of Feb. in this her birth month–Kathryn Kirkpatrick. I am very close to quitting Blogging and face book.
I agree with you about the google sight. They just make it too hard to comment. We’ll see how this one goes. So far it looks like the commenting is easier. Next chance I get to work on this I’ll see if I can increase the font for the words. I did see your poet of the month promotion on facebook yesterday. Too busy at the time to follow through and read it, but it was definitely there attracting attention.
Thanks for commenting.(You’ll notice you got an anonymous mention in my old blog yesterday. I do not cease to be grateful.)
Hi Mona,
No problems leaving a comment. Everything else looked great. Beautiful picture..
Thanks for noticing and commenting. 🙂
I think for me the black on white lettering is better too, as the other writer remarked. But it is beautiful – and if i donæt have to read much each day. I can manage!:-)
Thanks for responding. I’m still learning my way around. What I’ll try next is increasing the font so I can keep the white on blue but make it more legible.
This is beautiful! I love the coloring and the white print is now nicely legible with a darker blue background. Upper left hand corner title could be darker lettering to show better. Good idea to change your picture every once in a while. I know you’ve got many. But love the one of Tuscany, one of my all time favorite places in the world.

Thanks, Jus! I’m still learning, but I love the fact that it’s easy for people to comment. I’m glad you like the white on blue, and I am trying to figure out if I can change the color on that initial line.
Mona, I just noticed that there is a little notice up left where it says “following”.
Yes, I believe that’s where one indicates the choice to follow the blog. I think you are already doing that … ?
Mona
For those of you with PCs, you can magnify the screen by holding Ctrl button and spinning the mouse wheel. There’s another way if your mouse doesn’t have a wheel, but I can’t remember it right now. I don’t know how to magnify with Macs.
