During this period which is holy for Christians, attention is often paid to the Beatitudes delivered by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount.

Sometimes it seems to me that the sermon on the hill offers variations. New version below in bold italics. 

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
 for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who know they are superior, for they shall win the prize.

Blessed are they who mourn,
 for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are they who shoot first, for they will not have to mourn.

Blessed are the meek, 
for they shall possess the earth.

Blessed are the aggressive, for they shall win the battle

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice,
 for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are they who enforce rules controlling others, for they shall feel justified

Blessed are the merciful,
 for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are they who make sure others get what’s coming to them, for they shall feel virtuous

Blessed are the pure of heart, 
for they shall see God.

Blessed are they who are not bleeding hearts, for to them shall be the power

Blessed are the peacemakers, 
for they shall be called sons of God.

Blessed are the hawks, for they shall maintain the military/industrial complex

Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice sake,
 for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who make sure everyone follows all the rules, for they shall watch the disobedient burn in hell.
