What else can one do when one lives in crazy times? Whatever possible within one’s ability to foster the good as one sees it, I guess. And keep on working at life, because it will go on.
Therefore, I want to point out an addition to my web site — some recent reviews of “Figs & Pomegranates & Special Cheeses” at forgivenessoptions.com
Yes, at this time of trepidation for so many of us, it seems the only course is to “keep on keeping on”. Yet, one need only see a few minutes of video on the situation in Texas to realize what “keeping on” really means to people. They will eventually work things out, as will the rest of us.
Thanks, Nancy. What an important reminder — their need is so intense, so immediate, so potentially long lasting, and such beautiful stories of community. I noticed one woman they interviewed who had been rescued twice who, with a smile, made it clear that all she wanted was a place to rest and something to eat. All else seems to fall by the wayside as life gets down to the basics. Oh what we could learn from their courage if we would but listen!
And be ready for the aftershocks! Will we be there?
