We were on the wrong bus — went to the wrong place — didn’t have the excursion we signed up for. But sometimes mistakes can lead to pleasant surprises, like the Australian Gannets we saw when we unknowingly joined the birdwatchers.
I guess the lesson is: Be Prepared For Unanticipated Treasures.
I have always believed that everything in life can be a learning experience. In addition, like you have noted, it can not only be a learning experience but a wonderdous experience as well.
Take care and God Bless,
Jan
Thanks so much, Jan, for noticing and commenting.
How beautiful!
thanks. Sally, for always noticing and responding.
Yes – there really are no wrong buses or directions I find – and this image you now have here is extraordinary beautiful!
Thanks, Leelah. I love, agree with, and appreciate your response.
You’ll not soon forget this. You can read about the Maori and could have taken some photos, although photographing the indigenous people would likely have not been intrusive. The birds are amazing. How many times does one get to be in the middle of this? Never? Once in a life time? You were blessed to have missed the bus.
Yes. Looking at the photo and the recollection it creates, I can’t help but agree with you …
