Figs and Pomegranates and Special Cheeses   11 comments

Yes, I will share some photos from the Alaska cruise, but first I need to finalize work for “Figs & Pomegranates & Special Cheeses.” With the help of two wonderful ladies, we’re getting there. Marilyn Brown on Watercolor. Jenny Janson of Janson graphics on layout and cover detail. So, Here’s what the front cover will look like when I finish the final proofreading and all the other stuff that’s needed to get it out there on CreateSpace.

  1. Mona – It has been a while since I have been in touch. And I must tell you how much I like your new book jacket art. However, since I haven’t been following your posts, I was curious as to whether you had substantially changed your original story… which I really liked.

Have been rooting for your success with the republication efforts. Pat

    • Thanks so much for your companionship, Pat. Yes, it is essentially the same as “Mrs. Job.” I wish I could transfer some of the nice reviews of that book to this one, but that can’t be done. So, I’m seeking as many reviews as I can get for “Figs … ” Since the content is essentially the same, one could feel free writing a review for the new book on the basis of “Mrs. Job.” In fact, I’ve tried contacting people who wrote reviews for the original, but with no success with reviewers I don’t know.

On the other hand, “Figs … ” does have more action in response to the editing done by TM Publications before they ran out of money. Nothing that changes the essentials, but it might make the new book worth reading.

And how are your books doing?

  2. Looks good!

  3. Looking great Mona. 🙂

  4. I also like the cover. I really liked your non-fiction book–and I think that I’d enjoy this book. My life is very busy right now–but when things slow down for me (and maybe this will be about the time this version of the book is published) I definitely plan to order a copy.

  5. I love both fruits and cheese(s), of course… with a glass of red Bordeaux wine! cheers, Miss Mona! 🙂

    • Lovely comment. I fear, though, that it’s happening again. “Figs & Pomegranates & Special Cheeses” is the re-edited, re-titled, and newly covered update of Mrs. Job which I had to retire for a number of reasons, one being that people pronounced “Job” as if it referred to paid employment, not realizing it was the fictional love story of the wife of biblical Job. People warned me I would now run into the problem that people would think this newly titled version is a cook book. Is that happening? I’ll clarify the source of the title on my blog.

Thanks for paying attention and responding. I like hearing from you.
